SINGAPORE: The overall risk of myopericarditis -- a condition that causes inflammation of the heart muscles -- following Covid-19 vaccination is very low, affecting 18 people per million vaccine doses, according to a study published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine journal. The research confirms that the risk of myopericarditis is comparable to or lower following Covid-19 vaccination than other non-Covid-19 vaccines. The team analysed international databases, looking at over 400 million vaccination doses, to compare the risk of myopericarditis following vaccination against Covid-19 and other diseases such as influenza and smallpox. They found no statistically significant difference between the incidence of myopericarditis following Covid-19 vaccination -- 18 cases per million doses -- and other vaccinations, which was 56 cases per million doses. पोजिटिविटी दर भी अब कम होकर 1 फीसदी हो गई है. नई दिल्ली: देश में पिछले कई दिनों से कोरोना के (Corona) मामलों में लगातार गिरावट देखने को मिल रही है. आज भी कोरोना केसों में कमी दर्ज की गई है. केंद्रीय स्वास्थय मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत में पिछले 24 घंटे में कोरोना के 10,273 नए मामले सामने आए हैं. पोजिटिविटी दर भी अब कम होकर 1 फीसदी हो गई है. वहीं आज बीते दिन के मुकाबले 1,226 कम केस आए हैं. यह भी पढ़ें कोरोना (Corona) से ठीक होने वाले मरीजों का आंकड़ा भी अब लगातार बढ़ रहा है. 24 घंटे में 20,439 लोग ठीक होकर कोरोना को हरा चुके हैं. वहीं कल के मुकाबले मौतों में भी हल्की कमी आई है. आज 243 मौतों का आंकड़ा सामने आया है. जबकि दूसरी ओर एक्टिव मामले (Active Case) भी अब 1,11,472 पर आ गए हैं. वहीं, अबतक इस महामारी से जान गंवाने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 5 लाख 13 हजार 724 हो गई है. आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, अभी तक 4 करोड़ 22 लाख 90 हजार 921 लोग संक्रमण मुक्त हो चुके हैं. राष्ट्रव्यापी टीकाकरण मुहिम के तहत कोरोना वायरस रोधी टीकों (Corona Vaccine) की करीब 177 करोड़ से खुराक दी जा चुकी हैं....

FLORIDA: A new study has found patients with cancer who receive chemotherapy -- and some targeted therapies may mount an inadequate immune response to Covid-19 vaccination. The research has been published in the 'Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Innovation, Quality & Outcomes Journal'. "It is important for patients with cancer who are receiving chemotherapy to receive a Covid-19 vaccine," said Saranya Chumsri, M.D., a Mayo Clinic hematologist and oncologist, and author of the paper. Dr Chumsri said this advice also applied to patients with cancer who are taking a CDK 4/6 inhibitors. These inhibitors are a newer class of medicines used to treat hormone-receptor-positive and HER2-negative breast cancers. Dr Chumsri said that while CDK 4/6 inhibitors are not conventionally considered to be as immunosuppressive as chemotherapy, her research on patients with breast cancer who take these drugs found that they exhibited less optimal neutralizing antibody activity. नई दिल्ली: केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने शनिवार को कहा कि बच्चों के लिए टीकाकरण की शुरुआत होने के एक सप्ताह के भीतर ही 15-18 आयु वर्ग के दो करोड़ से अधिक बच्चों को कोविड-19 रोधी टीके की पहली खुराक दी गई है.  यह भी पढ़ें आज सुबह सात बजे तक की अद्यतन रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, पिछले 24 घंटे में 90,59,360 खुराक दी गई जिसके साथ ही देश में दी गई टीके की कुल खुराक 150.61 करोड़ से ज्यादा (1,50,61,92,903) पर पहुंच गई है.  मांडविया ने ट्वीट किया, 'बहुत अच्छे मेरे युवा दोस्तों. बच्चों के लिए टीकाकरण की शुरुआत होने के एक सप्ताह के भीतर ही 15-18 वर्ष की आयु के दो करोड़ से अधिक बच्चों को कोविड-19 रोधी टीके की पहली खुराक दी गई.' स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अधिकारियों के अनुसार, देश में 91 प्रतिशत से अधिक वयस्क जनसंख्या को टीके की कम से कम एक खुराक दी गई है जबकि 66 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा को दोनों खुराक दी जा चुकी है.
