Fans finally got their first look at Thor: Love and Thunder with a new trailer that teases the God of Thunder embarking on a journey of self-discovery. The teaser only lasted for about a minute and a half, and it didn’t even reveal exciting elements like Gorr the God Butcher, but the first footage fans got to see may spoil the movie’s ending.  One of the trailer’s opening shots shows Thor planting Stormbreaker upright in a patch of dirt, while his voiceover claims that his hands, which were “once used for battle,” are now “humble tools for peace.”  The confusing part here is that Thor will likely spend the majority of his fourth solo MCU movie doing the one thing he’s swearing off: battling bad guys. After an explosive and thrilling Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving on to a new chapter as it deals with the vast Multiverse. The concept has been at the forefront of several Phase 4 projects already, such as Loki  and Spider-Man: No Way Home . Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange is one of the most important players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Phase 4 expands into 2022. Having first played the master magician in the 2016 solo movie Doctor Strange , the hero had supporting roles in four other live-action films before this year's solo sequel - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . Alongside Cumberbatch's hero in the original solo film were Rachel McAdams' Christine Palmer and Benedict Wong's Wong, both of whom will be back this time around. Wong even got promoted to Sorcerer Supreme. On September 27, 2019, Spider-Man was reportedly re-joining the MCU after a momentary split between Sony and Disney. A part of this new deal between the two movie studios was that Marvel Studios and it's president Kevin Feige would produce a third Spider-Man film (which ultimately became Spider-Man: No Way Home ) and the web-slinger would appear in a future MCU film. This was presumed to be akin to his appearances in Captain America: Civil War , Avengers: Infinity War , and Avengers: Endgame .  However, Tom Holland has indicated that he doesn't know what MCU film he could appear in and it would be an "open conversation" between the studios. Jared Leto's Morbius  has opened up in theaters to a flood of negative reviews, becoming the third new installment in Sony's Spider-Man Universe after Tom Hardy's Venom films. One of the main focuses of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is building on what already exists within it. The creative teams for its projects are constantly working to improve on what came before and make each project better than the last in some respect. In some cases, they are even able to "improve" previous movies and shows.
