Marvel Studios now approaches the finish line for the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , a feat that is certainly cause for celebration thanks to this sequel’s scale and expectations. However, even with a story that breaks the Multiverse open and introduces potentially dozens of new characters, the lead-up to its debut hasn’t come without its hiccups. Particularly in Phase 4 of the MCU, the franchise has made a more concerted effort than ever toward bringing much-needed representation to the big and small screen. Each Spidey solo outing has included other Marvel Studios characters: Homecoming had Iron Man and Far From Home Nick Fury alongside Maria Hill. This time, it was the former Sorcerer Supreme’s turn, and it couldn’t have come at a better point. Peter Parker turned toward the Mystic Arts to try and help solve his identity crisis. Marvel Studios’ access to the wonderful tool that is Disney+ has enriched the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ways many thought was impossible. Characters who would never have received the spotlight or even made it on screen have now had the chance to shine. Many people thought there would be over-saturation, but the viewership of shows like WandaVision or Loki would say otherwise. It also helps that the studios’ many projects are of quality. Each one generally received favorable reviews throughout their runs and positive impressions from fans.
