WandaVision's Billy Actor Shares Hilarious Response to MCU Recast Questions
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will add to Wanda Maximoff's growing legacy within the MCU, particularly after leading the way last year in her own Disney+ series, WandaVision. That series also introduced fans to two classic Young Avengers from the comics in Billy and Tommy Maximoff, who were recently confirmed to make their first film appearance in Doctor Strange 2.
Although Wanda took down the Hex in Westview in Episode 9 of WandaVision, it's becoming clear that Billy and Tommy have a future in the MCU as the franchise adds more projects in the coming years. More specifically for them, numerous Disney+ shows and movies from Phase 4 are bringing in characters from the Young Avengers, who Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said will join the larger narrative at some point.

Although Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne brought Billy and Tommy to life in WandaVision, many fans have wondered if Marvel will bring older actors in to play the roles in potential future projects. Those questions even came up in a recent social media session with Hilliard, to which he offered some hilarious rebuttals.
Julian Hilliard's Thoughts on MCU Recast
During a Q&A session on Twitter, WandaVision star Julian Hilliard responded to questions about his role as Billy Maximoff possibly being recast with an older actor.
Hilliard was asked what his experience was like meeting actor Joshua Bassett, who some fans have speculated will play an older version of Billy Maximoff in future MCU projects. 10-year-old Hilliard replied with a GIF of a clown that included the message "Step right up and meet the biggest clown of all":

The current Billy actor then shared a GIF of a kid with a disappointed look on his face when asked who he would like to see playing an older version of the character in the MCU:

That same Twitter user then responded to Hilliard's GIF with "Worth a shot lol," to which Hilliard shared a second GIF of a dachshund with the message "Really?" at the bottom:

No Recast For Billy in MCU Future
The Young Avengers are an increasingly hot topic when looking at upcoming MCU outings thanks to three Disney+ shows from last year introducing potential members of the team. That theme continues into 2022 with America Chavez's debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Billy and Tommy.
The biggest reasoning behind a potential recast for Billy and Tommy would only be to line them up with co-stars like Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop) and Elijah Richardson (Eli Bradley) from an age perspective, with Hilliard and Klyne being only 10 and 13 years old, respectively. However, that isn't something that's on Hilliard's radar in the slightest as he prepares for his MCU movie debut.
Right now, Hilliard and Klyne have no confirmed appearances after Doctor Strange 2, although that's sure to change once they're added to the Young Avengers project that brings the team together. Although Hilliard likely doesn't know when that will happen, he appears confident that nobody else is in line to age up Billy Maximoff after he brought the hero into the MCU.
