Daredevil's Charlie Cox Rumored to Film Another Marvel Project Next Month
After years of starring in his own solo series on Netflix, Charlie Cox has finally made his way onto the big screen within the MCU as Matt Murdock, better known as Daredevil. While the debate about the show's canonicity to the larger universe is still a hot topic, Cox had just over a minute of screen time in Spider-Man: No Way Home offering his services to Tom Holland's Peter Parker.
Now that Cox's Daredevil is officially in play, fans are already looking forward to where he may show up next, particularly as he has yet to appear in costume as the Man Without Fear. Rumors have pointed to him being in line for a role in this year's She-Hulk, even teasing that fans will actually see him don the classic yellow Daredevil suit for the first time on screen.

The even bigger news is that Cox was reportedly seen as one of the biggest names on the cast list for Echo, which also includes Kingpin star Vincent D'Onofrio as they prepare to reunite in the MCU.
Now, in light of that upcoming solo series, it appears that Cox may be stepping back into the role sooner rather than later for Marvel Studios.
Cox Filming Marvel Echo Project Soon
Scooper Daniel Richtman shared on his Patreon account that Charlie Cox will be on the set of Marvel Studios' Echo in late May. There are no details pertaining to where shooting will take place or how long Cox will be on set.

A casting call, as shared by Twitter user @XKateBishopX, was also posted by Marvel Studios, specifically looking for competitive pow wow dancers, singers, and royalty to be a part of the Disney+ series.
These extras would be required as background performers for Echo, and would shoot for 2-3 weeks towards the end of July and early August 2022. It is unclear how these cast members would factor into the plot but are likely to round out Maya's Native American background.
Marvel Bringing Cox Back for Echo Disney+ Show
After being confirmed for development at Disney+ Day 2021, Echo is quickly gaining steam as one of Marvel's most anticipated new projects on Disney+. Alaqua Cox played the role in all but one episode of Hawkeye at the end of 2021, and she's now ready to take that supporting role into a leading capacity in the first role of her acting career.

Daredevil has some notable ties back to Echo in the comics, as they initially started their run as enemies before joining forces with one another over the years. There's also the notable fact that Maya Lopez's adoptive father is none other than Wilson Fisk, who was changed only slightly to an uncle/niece relationship in the MCU after D'Onofrio debuted in Hawkeye's last episode.
While Echo likely won't debut on Disney+ at least until 2023, Cox's return is a thrilling development for fans who want Daredevil fully ingratiated in the MCU. Marvel is now answering that call, and all that remains now is to see how big of a role Cox plays in this Daredevil-centric spin-off series.
Echo is currently filming and is likely to release on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
