Anthony Mackie Shares Promising Black Panther 2 Update
Fans haven't seen the world of Wakanda since 2018's Avengers: Infinity War (not including its minor cameo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) when Thanos completely destroyed not only T'Challa's nation but also The Avengers themselves. Four years later, audiences are dying to be back in the majestic, beautiful city that Ryan Coogler created with Black Panther. Thankfully, the sequel to that movie is finally set to debut later this year on November 11.
Or, at least, so it's planned for now. The production has seen many setbacks, from sad the loss of Chadwick Boseman to its main star getting into a serious on-set accident—the film's director was even falsely accused of robbing a bank. Many might say Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is cursed.

Given all of those issues, many fans think the project could be pushed into 2023 to give it more time to finish up. Thankfully, it looks like that's not the case—at least according to the MCU's new Captain America, Anthony Mackie.
Anthony Mackie Shares An Update
In an interview with E! News from the red carpet of the Grammys, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier actor Anthony Mackie gave an exciting update about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The actor revealed that they "just wrapped filming," and that "[he's] witnessed" what they are up for the upcoming sequel:

"I'm very excited to say that [Black Panther: Wakanda Forever] just wrapped filming. It's gonna be amazing, it's going to be spectacular. I am not [in it], but I've seen—I've been there, I've witnessed. I'm very excited for everybody to see Black Panther 2. It's in the can, it's in the coming out, it's done.
Falcon For Black Panther 2?
Now, the big question is, could Anthony Mackie be telling the truth, or is he pulling another Andrew Garfield? Thanks to Peter 3, a precedence has been set, so it's become harder to take some of the claims from these actors at face value.
Of course, it's entirely possible Sam Wilson could make an appearance. After all, his brand new Captain America suit seen in the finale for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was made out of vibranium (or at least partially so). Perhaps he owes Shuri a favor after getting that new suit?
Then again, it's just as likely that Mackie is telling the truth, and he simply visited the set—not an uncommon practice for actors in this massive interconnected story.

Many fans are itching to return to Wakanda, and given the new update from the former Falcon, the movie will actually release this year, despite all the many setbacks it's gone through. Audiences worldwide can once again see the tale of the Black Panther when Wakanda Forever releases on November 11.
